🔒 ImYan Privacy
Commands like /paysupport and /feedback work in the ImYan Telegram bot.
What we store: • your Telegram ID, name and @username from Telegram; • your profile: name, age, gender, height, university, faculty, year, goals, interests, bio and photo; • to check that you are a student — a photo of you holding your student ID or another document confirming you are a student, or your university email; • likes, matches and the messages attached to them; • reports: who reported whom and why; • your Sparks balance and purchases.
Who sees what: • your profile — other users in the feed; • that document and your email — only moderators, during the check; • your contact (@username and profile link) — only people you have a mutual like with; • reports — only moderators: the person reported won't find out who it was.
Why: to pick profiles for you, check that you are a student, protect the community, process purchases and count anonymous statistics (how many sign-ups, matches and purchases) to improve the service. Statistics contain no names or contacts.
Promos. Sometimes the bot sends promo codes for holidays and events. To opt out, tap "Don't send promos" under such a message; to turn them back on — /promos.
Deletion. When you delete your account, your profile, likes and matches are deleted right away. The rest is kept under your Telegram ID for a limited time: • your Sparks balance — until you come back: it's yours and returns when you sign up again; • records of bonuses already given — so they aren't given twice; • the log of credits and purchases — 5 years, for payment and refund records; • records of your consent to the terms and payments (when, which version, in which language) — 3 years after deletion, to confirm consent in case of a dispute; • records of admin actions on your account (what was done and why) — 2 years, so that in case of a dispute it's clear who did it and why; • closed reports — 2 years, profile edits and the change log — 1 year, /feedback requests — 30 days after they're handled: for the community's safety. If an account is banned, the ban record is kept while the ban is in force: Telegram ID, a fingerprint of the student email (not the email itself) and the reason — so it can't be used to sign up again. The name, @username and photo in it are erased after 90 days, once the appeal period is over, and someone else's photo is erased right away at that person's request.
We don't sell your data or share it with third parties. The one exception: suspicious document photos may be checked for forgery and editing by automated tools, including third-party services. Photos and files are stored on Telegram's servers.
Questions about your data — /feedback.
